Description

Powervation has developed the world’s first fully auto-compensating (Auto-control™) DC/DC digital controller aimed at Point-of-Load (POL) applications. The controller delivers unprecedented performance, thereby enabling higher efficiency, better transient response and unsurpassed ease of use across a broad range of voltage regulator designs. Auto-control works in real time, ensuring stability for the entire life of the system.

Packaged in a tiny 5X5 mm² QFN, the PV3002 is a single output, dual phase controller, capable of delivering up to 80A to the load.

The PV3002 includes a Digital Signal Processor, a RISC Processor and traditional analog blocks. The dual-core architecture enables a unique voltage regulator for applications that demand high stability and high efficiency. The product can be configured to provide 1- or 2-phase operation, and multiple controllers can be paralleled to provide load sharing.
