Power Modules

Power modules (i.e., complete power solutions, and modular power stages like Power Block) can be designed for very specific uses, or for more general purpose use. In both cases however, there are unknowns that must be accounted for during the design of these modules. These unknowns range from simple variations in the accompanying motherboard layout that the module mates to, to variations in motherboard output capacitances, component tolerances, loads, and environment. Auto-Control®, greatly helps to address the needs associated with variances and unknowns by autonomously adapting the controller’s compensation, thus improving reliability and reducing design effort without compromising performance, size, or cost.
