In NetCom and Computing designs, Powervation is typically able to address the needs of multiple power supplies per product board. These power supplies can range from 0.8 V to 5 V and from 15 A single phase converters to >100 A multi-phase converters feeding general POLs, ASICs, FPGA, processors, and memory; these power supplies tend to run for long periods of time without power cycling and often run in environments with elevated temperatures. Power converters within this space often need high efficiency and reliability (long-term, over temperature), need fast transient response, tight regulation, accurate telemetry information, dynamic voltage scaling, high set-point accuracy, and power capping. Powervation’s PMBus™ compliant products provide the highly accurate measurement and reporting (telemetry) needed for these designs, while intelligent control techniques reduce power consumption, and a combination of Powervation unique features (e.g., Auto-Control®, DSS™, anti-fuse based NVM, etc.) help to improve reliability.
