Eamon O’Malley, Ph.D., joined Powervation as vice president of digital design in 2006. Before becoming a member of Powervation’s executive team, Dr. O’Malley spent 11 years working as an ASIC design engineer with S3Group, Philips Semiconductors and the Circuits and Systems Research Centre at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Throughout this time he gained substantial experience in guiding IC design concepts from specification to working silicon solutions, as well as extensive experience managing projects and teams. Dr. O’Malley has a number of publications and patents/patents pending, including one for a unique digital pulse width modulation (DPWM) architecture. In 1995, he earned his doctorate in system-on-chip (SoC) solutions for digital power control from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
